I have some new projects that I have completed. The problem is I don't know how to turn the two cards around so you can see them right side up. UGH! The "Nest Egg List" was a challenge at TallyScrappers to take something from Pinterest & use it as your inspiration for a layout. I took someone's Bucket List & came up with this. After all, who wants to think about "kicking the bucket?" I had the perfect paper for it. It was a LOT of fussy cutting! Now on this last card, I was finally able to successfully wet emboss. I am so excited about that b/c I have been trying for a long time. I have got to get a better camera & I have got to learn to take my own pictures or teach my husband to take better pictures. I've tried to tell him how important it is to have a great picture in scrapbooking. Well, thanks for visiting today & I hope you have a great weekend & hope you have time to craft & that something here has inspired you!Friday, November 11, 2011

I had better get started on my blog today before it gets away from me & I don't get anything posted. I did 2 cards yesterday & 1 layout. I want to get those on here. The 1st card was supposed to have 2 pps, a ribbon & a bird. The result is above. The 2nd card was supposed to have stickers on it. I tried a different approach this time. I took shaving cream & then took some Tim Holtz inks & dropped them on the shaving cream. (I needed some popsicle sticks but didn't have them.) I used my bone folder to stir. Then I put the cardstock on top of the result. After I took a Kleenex & wiped off the excess I still had some white spots & I tried to take more of the color & fill in those spots with the Kleenex. I really think I like the result. It is unusual to say the least. The layout was to have 3 pps, 3 flowers & to be in fall colors. I used pictures of our family at Fiddlesticks Farms. I loved the outcome so much it is already framed & up on our wall. Thanks for dropping by. I hope to get more done today.

Time To Begin Again

A lot has happened since I have posted. We bought a house in Texas. We moved to Texas. We have moved a couple of times. We are now getting settled in. I have a scraproom & it will be my sewing room too but I still have a lot of work to do on it. The holiday season is upon us & I have no idea when I will have time to work on this room between keeping up with the challenges at Tallyscrappers & grandchildren & our new papillons. I just did a Christmas card as today was the beginning of a month of Christmas card challenges at Tallyscrappers & I finished a layout of my rescue papillons too that I want to share as part of Survivor challenges at Tallyscrappers. I hope that this is the beginning of my keeping up with the blogging. I need a place to put the lovely things that I am using on my cards from places like The Graphics Fairy & the free digital stamps I have been getting. I want to acknowledge those that share their gifts with others & what better place to do it than here & on the sites I show my cards which would be Tallyscrappers. Thanks for looking & I hope you enjoy what you see.

Wow!
I cannot believe that it has almost been a year since I have blogged & yet I haven't done much lately in the way of scrapbooking or the things I love with this artistic side of me. I have been busy learning the art of quilting & trying to make purses. It has been fun. But I need desperately to learn to balance what I love to do. In the meantime I haven't heard from my friends in this world so I'm wondering how each of you are doing??? I hope things are going well for you. I am working on 3 ATCs at the moment. I'm doing the 4th of July, summer, & sweets. I hope I am on the right track. Hopefully I can get them posted on here later after I finish. Maybe I can get some feedback. I have been busy also working on a new scrapbook/craft room. It isn't completely finished as I need to find a home for everything. Now that is a problem! OK, back to work on my ATCs & I hope to hear from some of you! Missing each of you.

Crop at TallyScrappers

TallyScrappers had a challenge to do a lo with fall colors, 3 pps, a punch, & a journal spot. Scrapfit.blogspot.com had a challenge to do a mosaic & add some ribbon so I put the two together. I had never done this before. I love the look of it. I hope to do more & do it more professional looking. Thanks for the opportunity & motivation to get me to try it. I hope you will try it too. Learning is always a good thing. Even if you learn that it isn't for you or your thing! :-) These are my little monsters & I love all four of them more than life itself. You couldn't offer me enough for these sweetie pies. The sun rises & sets on them. The other one is too small to join in but I'm sure she will soon. I got new pics of her today. It won't be long before they are joined by another baby, less than 2 months. Woo Hoo. Keep scrapping!

We had a challenge at TallyScrappers this week. Actually this is week 3 of Survivor. This week the challenge consisted of 6 different size circles, 6 pics, 6 different stamps, & 6 different alphas. I had so much fun with this challenge. A couple of my stamps didn't show up as well as I would have liked. The orange one under family I went over with Stickles & there is one under the butterfly that was a butterfly so I just put the butterfly over it. I still have so much scrapping left to do that I have to get busy. We have a busy week coming up & I have many layouts sitting at my desk ready to be done not to mention that it is National Card Making Day! So, I'm off. I promised to post an ATC that I had made & sent to a friend that never made it to her as well. So, that is what the top 2 pics are. If you want to see the one she made me go to papercamerascissor.blogspot.com She keeps an awesome blog.
